Pre-AGM Presentation

Before the AGM, there will be a presentation by two speakers from the Australian Department of Home Affairs. The event is entitled: ‘The Challenge of Providing Language Services in the Era of COVID-19’.

Presenters:

Joanne Ogilvie – Manager Interpreter Liaison, Citizenship and TIS Branch, Australian Government Department of Home Affairs

Amelia Taylor – Interpreter Liaison Officer, Citizenship and TIS Branch, Australian Government Department of Home Affairs.

AUSIT ACT Annual General Meeting

Join AUSIT ACT for its 2020 AGM. Catch up with fellow language professionals, hear about the past year, and vote in a new committee.

We would love for people to join the branch committee, which plans professional development events, distributes updates and information, and fosters a sense of community among language professionals in the ACT.

We need to fill the following positions at the AGM:

  • Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Professional Development Coordinator
  • Branch Delegate (to the National Council)
  • Membership Liaison Officer
  • Committee Member

You are welcome to attend the AGM even if you are not intending to fill a position on the branch committee. It is free and open to any financial member in the ACT.


Joining the AGM

You will need to download Zoom, an online webinar program, found here https//zoom.us/download .  You will then receive the link to the AGM on 28 August 2020.


AUSIT members are able to claim 10 PD points in section 1.6 for participating in the AGM.
