AUSIT would like to invite all Arabic Interpreters and Translators to join us in discussing the challenging topic of interpreting and translating in mental health settings. This online discussion session will cover the following aspects:
explaining the mental health setting; relevant terminologies; strategies to resolve the difficulties; useful resources

The facilitator/moderator, audience and other participants may use LOTE (i.e. Arabic) at different stages of the discussion or the entire online meeting.
Biography of Presenter - Dina Kerr
Dina Kerr is a certified interpreter and translator into Arabic. With a background in software engineering, Dina completed a Master of social sciences (Translating & Interpreting studies) from RMIT in 2010. Apart from being a practising interpreter/translator, Dina is also tutoring Arabic interpreting at advanced diploma and Masters programs at RMIT.
