NSW ONLY: Translator-Specific Discussion
Zoom On-line Saturday 22 May 2021 10.00am - 12.00pm AEST (NSW)
REGISTRATIONS FULL AUSIT NSW branch have arranged both a Translators Discussion workshop (10.00am - 12.00pm) and a separate Interpreters Discussion workshop (1.00pm - 3.00pm)(see separate eflash) aimed at practitioners regardless of their working languages and language-specific sessions are highly encouraged following this networking discussion event. If you are interested in organising a language-specific event, please contact the interim National PD Coordinator, Amy Wang, at pd@ausit.org
Aim of the sessions: To provide members with an opportunity to discuss ethical and practical questions linked to the profession based on their knowledge and experience, and strengthen professional solidarity. This would be particularly useful for students and early-career interpreters as well as experienced practitioners who want to connect or reconnect with colleagues around thematic questions. Translator-Specific Discussion This session is aimed at translators (although interpreters are welcome to attend). The topics covered will include rates/quoting, agency selection for translators, machine translation and copyright. Presenter
