NAT: Japanese Language-Specific Discussions Live Event - Via Zoom online

REGISTRATIONS CLOSED AUSIT is pleased to invite all Japanese interpreters and/or translators to join this online discussion. The online discussion offers a conducive and interactive environment, particularly during COVID, for all members and non-members to get to know their colleagues and exchange ideas and tips on how to navigate uncharted territory. The discussion will cover the following topics:
David Shield is a recent graduate of the University of Queensland's Master of Arts in Japanese Interpreting and Translation (MAJIT) program. He spent many years working as a translator and interpreter for Oyama City council in Japan where he specialised in public policy. In 2019, he was the winner in the Japanese stream for the inaugural AUSIT Translation Competition. He now works as a freelance Japanese to English translator.

The facilitator/moderator, audience and other participants may use LOTE (i.e. Japanese) at different stages of the discussion or the entire online meeting.
