AUSIT National AGM Saturday 27 November 2021 - Invitation to Members

Agenda

The Agenda for the meeting will be:

1.   Confirmation of the Minutes of the 33rd NAGM (2020)
2.   Presentation of the National President’s report on behalf of the National Council
3.   Presentation of the AUSIT statement of accounts and balance sheet for the financial year 2020–21 by the National Treasurer
4.   Presentation of the National Secretary’s report for the year 2020–21
5.   Tabling of honorarium position reports
6.   Tabling of state branch reports
7.   Election of national office-bearers and declaration of uncontested positions on the National Council
8.   Announcement of the date and venue for the 35th National AGM, 2022


In accordance with clause 10.1 (c) of the Constitution, members who wish to bring any other item of business before the AGM must forward a request for its inclusion to the National Secretary  no later than Saturday 06 November 2021; this request must be supported by at least 30 AUSIT financial members and should include a specific motion to be voted on.

No printed copies of reports will be provided, as they will be available for download from the AUSIT website (member login required: ‘Member-only Publications & Reports’ > ‘Governance Documents’ > ‘2021 National AGM’), as will be the 2020 minutes.

In relation to item 7, nominations are also invited for the positions of:

• National President
• Vice-president (Events and Professional Development)
• Vice-president (Communications and Public Relations)
• Vice-president (Ethics and Professional Practice)
• National Treasurer
• National Secretary

Nomination and Proxy Forms

Nomination forms will also be available for download from the website or click on this link - Nomination Form.  Completed nominations should then be emailed to the Returning Officer by COB on Friday 19 November 2021.

If you cannot attend but would like to vote, pursuant to provisions of clause 10.5 of the Constitution, it will be possible for proxies to be appointed.  Proxy forms will also be available from the website or click on this link - Proxy Form.  These forms should then be emailed to the Returning Officer by COB on 24 November 2021 to avoid delays on the day of the AGM.  No member may hold more than 25 proxies (clause 10.4.6 of the Constitution).

As this meeting will be held by Zoom video conference, registration will be essential. 

The login details for the meeting will be sent to registered participants a few days before the meeting.
