Dear QLD Branch Members

After another year of being disrupted by COVID-19 lockdowns and restrictions resulting in limited networking and face-to-face events, we plan to start 2022 meeting over coffee and connecting with our colleagues.

The AUSIT QLD Branch would like to invite you to a social gathering to welcome in the new year.

Come and Join us and catch up with colleagues over brekkie or coffee on Sunday 6 February 2022. At this event, the QLD Branch will also announce some of the professional development events we are planning for the upcoming year.

The event will take place at the Gardens Club Café at the beautiful Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, a lovely outdoor setting dedicated to helping refugees and asylum seekers access employment and training. Vegan and gluten-free options are available.

Getting there by car
Limited street parking on Alice Street and surrounds or QUT parking ($10 all day parking on the weekend. 5 minute walk from parking station to café. See link for more info:


Public transport information

Ferry:   Take the City Cat to the QUT Gardens Point terminal
Bus:   The nearest bus stops are on Alice St between George St and Albert St

Getting to the Venue

The Cafe is accessible by foot or by bicycle from the CBD or from South Bank via the Goodwill Bridge.

COVID-19 Precautions

Given the COVID-19 situation at present, we can still meet at the Gardens Club Café, but COVID-19 restrictions remain - you must check in at the Venue and show Proof of Vaccination.
