Can translators add or omit intensification (i.e., ‘很’) and logical links (i.e., ‘and’), translate one sentence into two and vice versa, or even change the level of formality, all in the name of ‘fluency’? This interactive webinar will invite participant reflection on common challenges in balancing accuracy, fluency, and client expectation in CH-EN translation. It will apply translation theories and comparative linguistics between English and Chinese to facilitate collective brainstorming of problem-solving strategies. The webinar aims to empower practitioners to translate more accurately, confidently, and creatively.

Please be advised that this event is language-specific, information may be provided or discussed in Mandarin.
