AUSIT WA Branch Notice of AGM 2022

Members are advised that the AUSIT WA Branch Annual General Meeting for 2022 will be held on Saturday 17 September 2022, from 1:00 to 2:00pm, at the University of WA - UWA ARTS: [G61] Arts Lecture Room 5 (located on the ground floor of the Arts Building).

The AGM will be preceded by a PD session on the Ethical issues in translating official documents.


Schedule of the event and AGM

11:00 am to 12:30 pm – Presentation of selected extracts from Dave Deck’s webinar on the translation of personal documents and the ethical issues translators may encounter due to clients’ inappropriate expectations or perhaps even occasionally dishonest, unethical or unreasonable clients! The issues raised will be brought to life by a panel discussion of these ethical scenarios and the strategies practicing translators use to deal with them.

12:30 to 1:00 pm – Light lunch break and networking opportunity

Election of Branch Committee

Nominations are invited for the 2022-2023 WA Branch Committee.

All committee positions will be declared vacant at the start of the AGM, so if you know anyone who is willing to contribute to shaping the future of our profession, this is the place to start! If you would like to vote in the Annual General Meeting, please ensure that you have renewed your AUSIT membership for 2022-2023. Non-financial members are welcome to attend as observers.
