Spanish Language-specific Discussion

Webinar Via Zoom online
Wednesday 22 March 2023

7.00pm - 8.30pm AEDT
(Sydney time)

EVENT CLOSED

This webinar will be conducted in Spanish

In this training module, we will explore language and communication, and we’ll go over some LGBTQIA+ terms to open the conversation on how language shapes the reality around us. We will also talk about the role of translators and interpreters, try to understand our own professional and personal biases, and develop strategies to provide a respectful and safe service to everyone.

Although this training is Spanish-specific, any industry stakeholder is more than welcome to join the debate so as to work collectively towards developing an empathic and compassionate understanding of the translation and interpreting services we provide.
