Event Closed Practical ways to simplify business processes, develop as a professional and diversify your activities. This session will look at practical ways and readily accessible resources for maintaining language skills and continuing to develop as a T& I professional. It will include interviews with experienced practitioners about their individual profiles and exactly how they do what they do, information from a NAATI representative on employment opportunities in role-playing and examining, as well as a panel discussion on how to maintain your interest, seek support from colleagues and avoid burnout. Biography - Nicola Thayil Nicola Thayil is a French-English translator and interpreter who established her business, nhm translation, in 2011. Her professional experience spans from marketing and corporate services to event management and education, as well as a teaching role at Monash University.
Biography - Isabel von Prollius Isabel von Prollius has been a German-English translator for 20 years. Additionally, she founded German Language Classes in 2007, a successful language school, which she still owns and teaches at.
Biography - Kym McDowell Kym McDowell has been NAATI WA's Regional Operations Manager since 2020. Kym will discuss opportunities for working with NAATI, such as role-players or examiners. Certificates and recordings Certificates for PD purposes and copies of recordings (if available) may take approximately two (2) weeks to be released following the event.
